iphion is developing a new collaborative network technology to distribute TV and video over the Internet. The iphion technology allows for high quality, reliable video streaming over existing infrastructure.

iphion's technology will facilitate the coming migration from proprietary TV distribution networks to using the Internet as the primary infrastructure for TV. All electronic information will migrate to IP infrastructure in the future. TV-over-IP is especially challenging. iphion has developed the technology to distribute live TV with minimum latency, reliable, in high quality without putting a unsustainable strain on the network.

Personal involvement

iphion was founded in 2006 by Willem-Jan Withagen, Peter de With, Merien ten Houten and myself. We are located at the campus of the Eindhoven Technical University.
